Reston Law Group partner Ralph Albrecht drafted and edited comments along with Darrell Mottley of Banner Witcoff, submitted by the Bar Association of the District of Columbia (BADC)‘s Intellectual Property (IP) Section chair William Atkins of Pillsbury Winthrop, in response to some of the USPTO’s proposed fee increases for US Patent fees, voicing opposition to several controversial fee increase proposals for their disproportionate impact on individual and small business inventors, and the innovation community ecosystem at large. Ralph serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the BADC (the nation’s third oldest bar), where he served as President from 2007-2008, and is a former chair of its IP Section (formerly the Patent Trademark Copyright Section, founded in 1958).
